Overview

Skincare AI Routine ("we", "our", "the app") provides AI-powered cosmetic skincare guidance. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Face Data

Skincare AI Routine collects face and skin photos only when you choose to take or upload a photo and run an analysis. We do not collect face data in the background.

• What we collect: A single face or skin photo you provide, plus optional intake details you enter (skin type, concerns, products you use).
• How we use it: Solely to generate cosmetic skincare analysis and AM/PM routine suggestions shown in the app. We do not use face data for advertising, identification, or facial recognition.
• Third-party sharing: Photos are sent securely to our backend on Railway, then to third-party AI providers (Together AI as primary, OpenAI as optional fallback) only to perform the analysis. We do not sell face data.
• Storage: Photos are processed in server memory during the request and are not written to disk or permanently stored on our servers. Analysis results may be held in short-term server memory cache (up to 15 minutes) to avoid duplicate processing of the same photo; the cache stores JSON results only, not images.
• Retention: Face photos are not retained after processing completes. Optional intake preferences stay on your device until you delete the app.

Information We Collect

• Photos and videos: Face or skin photos you take or upload for AI analysis
• Other user content: Optional intake information such as skin type, concerns, budget, and products you already use (stored on your device and sent with analysis requests when you run an analysis)
• Purchase information: In-app purchase and entitlement status processed by Apple and RevenueCat (we do not receive your payment card number)
• Device identifiers and advertising data: Device-level identifiers used by Google AdMob to show ads to free users (we request non-personalized ads where supported)
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version as needed to operate the service

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require an account, name, email address, or phone number to use the app
• We do not access your contacts, location, HealthKit data, or browsing history
• We do not receive your payment card or bank details (Apple processes payments)

How We Use Information

• Generate personalized AM/PM skincare routine suggestions and product picks
• Process premium purchases and restore Pro entitlements
• Display banner advertisements to free users
• Operate, secure, and improve the app and backend API

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties to operate the app. They process data only as needed to provide their services:

• Together AI — AI image analysis (primary provider)
• OpenAI — optional fallback AI provider
• Railway — secure backend hosting
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase and entitlement management
• Google AdMob — advertising for free users
• Apple App Store — payment processing for Pro purchases

Data Retention

Photos are transmitted securely to our backend for real-time analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers after processing. Intake preferences and disclaimer acceptance are stored locally on your device. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above to operate the app (AI analysis, hosting, ads, and purchases). We do not use your data for cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.

Your Choices

• You choose whether to upload a photo or run an analysis
• You can delete the app to remove locally stored preferences
• Free users see ads; Pro users can remove ads with a one-time purchase
• iOS users can limit ad tracking in device Settings
• You can restore prior Pro purchases from the in-app Pro screen

Children's Privacy

Skincare AI Routine is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Skincare AI Routine provides general cosmetic skincare guidance only. It is not medical advice, does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and does not replace consultation with a licensed dermatologist or healthcare provider.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
